Social Media Manager

My role as social media manager of WNY’s fastest growing real estate broker is to maintain the integrity of Metro Roberts Realty’s web presence. By analyzing social stats and adapting my planned content accordingly, we continue to expand our audiences on various social channels (Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, YouTube, Google+, and FourSquare), with a focus on organically engaging with our agents and clients.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) & Social Media Marketing Consultant

I explain and execute social media and SEO marketing strategies for a variety of clients, some of which I manage content for on a weekly or monthly basis. Some clients depend on me to set up their social channels and teach them how to self-manage while others give me the reigns entirely, to both of which I deliver measurable results and increased web presence/impact.
Communications Manager/Executive Campaign Manager
Brought in as the company’s third executive member to orchestrate a launch for The Worldwide App Inc.’s mobile application, The Worldwide Mobile Movie Theater™. Tasks include: creation and distribution of all press releases and informational emails, event planning and personal assistant duties for President/CEO, recruitment of all student interns through the SUNY Fredonia Technology Incubator, and promotion of four featured short films both online and within the filmmakers’ hometowns.

As Editor-in-Chief of SUNY Fredonia’s only weekly student publication, I managed an editorial and business staff to ensure that our newspaper runs properly both in terms of content and revenue. This position includes planning events and meetings, reporting and editorial writing, and overseeing final edits and layout/production, all while consuming endless shots of espresso.
Windows Brand Ambassador
Promoted Windows 8 to students both in person and on various social media outlets. Tasks included learning to use and promote several Microsoft and HP products, then sharing my experience with other representatives to formulate and execute effective marketing strategies geared toward university students.
Feature Writer & Editor
Fredonia, NY)
Worked as the feature writer/editor, collaborating with the New Media team to produce engaging written and multimedia content that promotes the university to both current and prospective students. Tasks included writing features, brainstorming face-to-face and virtual marketing strategies, and editing all written content for the website.
Tech-Marketing/Copy Writing
Researched and executed marketing strategies for a web-based technology company, creating B2B blog content that both informs and calls readers to action. The majority of topics and articles included are listed in “My Writing” or can be found by searching “Christina @ greatwriting.com”.
Substantive Editor
January 2011 – January 2012 • “Live! Starring…You!” (Buffalo, NY)
“Live! Starring…You!” is a children’s series with fictional and nonfictional accounts, which enabled me to use my editing skills as well as apply my knowledge of literary theory within substantive editing that involved plot and character development.
Copy Editor
December 2009 – May 2010 • The Leader (Fredonia, NY)
Within my second week as Copy Editor, I executed our staff’s transfer to GoogleDocs (now Google Drive) to enable sharing/editing articles among multiple editors. With writers and desk editors now able to see the most common changes being made, this cooperation has both enhanced the editing process improved the quality of writing from the ground up.
